Description
The Assistant Director will own the substantive and technical work associated with institutional and programme accreditation, recognition, NOCs and regulatory compliance. The role will interpret applicable standards, guide departments, quality-assure evidence and submissions, and lead institutional readiness for regulatory reviews and inspections.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a university-wide matrix and calendar of accreditations, recognitions, NOCs, approval conditions, renewals and reporting obligations.
- Interpret requirements issued by HEC, PHEC and relevant professional councils and translate them into clear institutional action plans.
- Prepare, review and quality-assure NOC applications, accreditation submissions, self-assessment reports, compliance responses and supporting evidence.
- Define evidence requirements for academic and administrative departments and verify the accuracy, completeness and consistency of information received.
- Conduct internal compliance and readiness reviews, identify gaps and coordinate time-bound corrective action with the relevant departments.
- Lead the technical preparation for accreditation visits, inspections, audits and institutional reviews, including evidence files, briefings and responses.
- Monitor compliance with conditions attached to approvals and ensure that renewals, periodic reports and corrective actions are completed on time.
- Serve as the University's subject-matter focal point for regulatory clarifications and technical meetings; official correspondence and routine external follow-up will be coordinated through the designated institutional liaison function.

Requirement
- Minimum 16 years of education in Education, Management, Public Administration, Law, Quality Assurance, Business Administration or a related discipline; a relevant Master's degree will be preferred.
- At least five years of relevant experience in accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality assurance or higher-education administration.
- Hands-on experience with one or more higher-education regulatory or accreditation bodies, such as HEC, PHEC or a relevant professional council.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing accreditation, NOC or regulatory submissions and supporting an inspection or review process.
- Strong knowledge of higher-education policies, accreditation frameworks, evidence requirements and compliance monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, documentation, presentation and record-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, exercise sound judgement and maintain strict confidentiality.
