Description

The University of Rawalpindi is seeking a proactive, organised, and technology-oriented professional to support the implementation of its institutional AI transformation, responsible AI, capacity-building, and partnership initiatives.

The selected candidate will coordinate AI programmes across the University, work with academic and administrative departments, manage multi-institutional collaborations, support faculty and student engagement, and maintain project documentation, timelines, and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate the University’s AI transformation and capacity-building programmes.
• Support the implementation of multi-university, national, and international AI initiatives.
• Maintain project workplans, timelines, deliverables, meeting records, and progress trackers.
• Coordinate with partner universities, faculty members, administrative departments, students, and external organisations.
• Organise AI-related training programmes, workshops, consultations, and institutional activities.
• Support the development and implementation of responsible AI policies, guidelines, and institutional frameworks.
• Coordinate faculty and student initiatives relating to AI literacy, teaching, learning, assessment, and responsible use.
• Support the development of practical learning resources, reports, presentations, toolkits, and bilingual materials.
• Assist departments in identifying suitable AI use cases and support the adoption of approved AI solutions.
• Establish and coordinate AI student ambassador, fellowship, or volunteer programmes.
• Identify relevant partnerships, competitions, training opportunities, policy consultations, and external forums.
• Maintain an organised repository of project evidence, activity reports, participation records, outcomes, and supporting documents.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, institutional briefs, case studies, and public updates.
• Monitor programme outcomes, stakeholder participation, and the adoption of implemented initiatives.

Requirement

Qualification

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognised university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Public Policy, Education, Development Studies, International Relations, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• A relevant Master’s degree, professional certification, or demonstrated training in artificial intelligence, project management, or programme coordination will be considered an advantage.

Experience

• Preferably 1-4 years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, programme management, higher education, technology initiatives, training, partnerships, research, policy, or institutional development.
• Candidates with less experience may also be considered where they demonstrate strong project execution, writing, coordination skills, and an interest in artificial intelligence.
• Experience in managing university, development-sector, technology, research, or multi-stakeholder projects will be preferred.

Required Competencies

• Strong project coordination, organisation, and follow-up skills.
• Excellent written communication, report-writing, and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of artificial intelligence and its practical applications.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with faculty members, students, departments, partner institutions, and external organisations.
• Strong documentation and record-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
• Confidence in organising training programmes, meetings, and institutional activities.
• Sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to handle institutional information responsibly.
• Strong interest in responsible AI, higher education transformation, and technology-enabled institutional improvement.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, execution-oriented, and comfortable working across academic, administrative, technical, and external stakeholder environments.
• The candidate should be able to translate broad institutional objectives into clear workplans, maintain consistent follow-up, and ensure that AI initiatives progress from ideas to documented and measurable implementation.
